WINEMAKER’S NOTES: Tannat expresses its finest personality when its robust body is aged in wood. This is a powerful, well-structured and complex wine showing the essential characteristics of the Tannat grape.
Appearance: Dark purple, inky and translucent
Nose: Notes of red fruits, figs, ink, minerals and spices
Palate: Full bodied and well rounded depicting dark berries and spices. Good presence of soft and velvety tannins
Drink 2010-13
Bright, healthy crimson. Lively dark fruit and a touch of oak spice and dustiness but the dark fruit is at the forefront. Firm, sweet-fruited grip, firm but smoothed. Fresh, fine grained and an attractively dry finish. Needs food or another year in bottle. 13% (JH)
