Oak aged for 3 months. Deep red colour.
On the nose it shows notes of red berries, mint and eucalyptus. On the palate is velvety initially, intensifies mid-palate and leads to a long finish.
Pork and mushrooms dishes would suit this wine particularly well.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES: In the southern part of Uruguay Cabernet Franc can reach an ideal polyphenolic ripeness which allows us to maintain the aromatic qualities in every harvest.
Appearance: Intense purple colour with violet tones
Nose: Mineral aromas with notes of red peppers, spices, chocolate and almonds
Palate: Expressive wine which surprises the palate through pleasant yet marked tannins. Notes of plums, raisins and blackberries along with fresh notes of eucalyptus, mint and pepper.

90% Tannat, 5% Nero D'Avola, 5% San Giovese
The winemaker went back to his Italian roots with this wine. Its name, Libero (Free) comes from the concept that Reinaldo De Lucca applies when he makes wine, freedom. He says that when he feels free when he creates a wine and that the best creativity comes when we feel free.
Reinaldo planted the vines for this wine in the soil where his grandparents settled after arriving from Italy. He is blending the Uruguayan flagship grape, Tannat, with two Italian varieties, Nero D’Avola and Sangiovese.
This wonderful wine has an excellent structure, tannins are soft, sweet and sticky. Aromas of ripe plums, liquorice and mint. Fermented in oak barrels.
This wine is ready to drink now, but it will keep improving for the next 6 to 8 years.Price£12.00 per bottle

Appearance: Dark purple, inky and translucent
Nose: Notes of red fruits, figs, ink, minerals and spices
Palate: Full bodied and well rounded depicting dark berries and spices. Good presence of soft and velvety tannins
Drink 2010-13
Bright, healthy crimson. Lively dark fruit and a touch of oak spice and dustiness but the dark fruit is at the forefront. Firm, sweet-fruited grip, firm but smoothed. Fresh, fine grained and an attractively dry finish. Needs food or another year in bottle. 13% (JH)
