MASINTÍN Cariñena 2021
This Cariñena comes from a plot surrounded by the granitic slopes of the coastal mountain range. Planted in 1950 and located 40 km from the Pacific Ocean, it is gobelet-pruned, unirrigated and ungrafted, with weed control carried out by hand or with a horse. Only 4,898 bottles were produced. The label is an original painting by Uruguayan artist Pablo Atchugarry.

Vinification
Grapes were hand harvested and destemmed. Whole berries were added to the fermentation tanks to initiate a gentle extraction of components using pump-overs and punch downs. Total maceration lasted 23 days. After maceration, the wine was transferred to 58% concrete tank, 16% new French oak, and 26% used French oak barrels for 11 months prior to bottling.
