PIZZATO Alicante Bouschet 2021

The winery is located in Bento Gonçalves, the wine capital of Brazil, which sits at an altitude of just over 610 metres. Vale dos Vinhedos covers 82 square kilometres in part of the Pedrinho River basin. As per DO rules, red wines must be aged for 12 months prior to release. Sustainable viticulture preserving the local ecosystem and responsibly using natural resources.

Tasting notes

Amazingly dark in colour. Exuberant wild aromas of forest violets and black juniper, juicy sour cherries and almost overripe raspberry. Dry, fine-grained tannins and cool elegance.

Vinification

Aged for approx. 11 months in 1st & 2nd use French barrels, then rests in bottle before release.
